Look designs the Blade RS around what it calls holistic gains — aerodynamics, weight, and power transfer treated as one problem instead of three separate ones. Look states that this generation of the frame saves 15 watts over its predecessor, an estimate the brand bases on the Tour Magazin wind tunnel protocol using its own internal data. At race pace, gains like that compound over distance rather than showing up in a single sprint — Look points to more than two minutes saved across a 19th-stage Tour de France profile compared to the previous Blade RS. The Ultra High Modulus Carbon construction is aimed at keeping the frame light while holding onto the stiffness a hard acceleration or a sprint effort demands, and Look backs the frame and fork with a lifetime warranty.
Shifting and braking run through a SRAM Force AXS E1 groupset — wireless, 12-speed, and paired with SRAM Force E1 hydraulic disc brakes on 160mm front and 140mm rear Paceline rotors. The crankset carries 48/35 chainrings on the XS frame and 50/37 from S through XL, matched to a SRAM XG-1270 E1 cassette with a 10-33 range, giving this build enough spread to handle sustained climbs as well as flat-out efforts. Look's own R45S wheels complete the build, wrapped in Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR tires in a 700x29 size. The frame will clear up to 34mm if a rider wants to size up for extra comfort or rougher road surfaces.
