The BMC Teammachine SLR 01 Four Bike is built for one purpose: climbing. Engineered at BMC's Impec Lab in Grenchen, Switzerland, the Gen 5 Teammachine SLR platform represents the Swiss brand's flagship climbing road bike — shaped around a single principle: maximum stiffness at minimum weight, with enough aerodynamic refinement to matter when the road tilts upward and the pace goes with it.

The SLR 01 Four uses BMC's 01 Pro Carbon layup, a race-grade carbon construction that delivers exceptional power transfer and lateral rigidity without unnecessary weight. The frame's TCC Race compliance level is calibrated to absorb road vibration and take the bite out of rough pavement without softening the ride character or dulling the handling response. Stealth cable routing via ICS Technology keeps the lines clean and the front end uncluttered, while the Aerocore Design integrates a pair of carbon bottle cages into the downtube — engineered to reduce aerodynamic drag at race speeds when carrying bottles. It's the kind of detail that signals how seriously BMC takes aerodynamics even on a dedicated climber.
The build pairs the frame's climbing focus with equipment that matches its intent. A complete Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 2x12 drivetrain provides precise, repeatable shifting under effort, and a 4iiii Precision Gen3+ power meter comes pre-installed on the non-drive side crank — giving data-driven riders accurate output numbers from the first ride. The ICS Carbon Evo one-piece full carbon cockpit is purposefully stiff, weight-optimized, and finished with an 8° flare for improved stability when the pace kicks. CR 40 SL Carbon tubeless-ready wheels wearing Pirelli P Zero Race TLR tires in 28mm round out a race-ready build.
Design Benefits
- 01 Pro Carbon construction delivers race-level frame stiffness for uncompromised power transfer on hard efforts and sustained climbs.
- TCC Race compliance takes the edge off rough road surfaces without softening the ride character or compromising…
