The Mondraker Crafty Race Bike is the aluminum entry point into Mondraker's Crafty eMTB platform, and "entry point" carries an asterisk at this price. The Crafty Race arrives with a Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor, Fox 38 and Float-X LV suspension, Shimano XT M8100 throughout, and Mavic E-Deemax 29 wheels — all of it anchored by the same Forward Geometry and Zero Suspension kinematics that define the carbon Crafty models. The frame is alloy. The rest of the build makes no concessions.

Mondraker's Forward Geometry is the design principle around which the entire Crafty platform is built, and it shapes how the bike rides more than any individual component. A 65.5° head angle combined with reach measurements running from 450mm (S) to 510mm (XL) creates a long, stable front end that tracks confidently at speed on technical terrain. Mondraker pairs this with a steep 73.5° seat tube angle that keeps the rider over the pedals on climbs, and 455mm chainstays consistent across the size run — short enough to maintain rear-end responsiveness, long enough for stability at eMTB speeds. A geometry flip chip allows adjustment to head angle, bottom bracket height, and saddle position for different terrain preferences.
The motor is Bosch's Performance Line CX Race, the high-output variant of the Gen 4 Smart System. It delivers 85Nm of torque and 600W of peak power, with power delivery tuned to feel natural and responsive under load rather than intrusive. The 750Wh Powertube battery is fully integrated into the down tube and removable for charging. The compact Purion 400 display handles mode selection and battery monitoring from a 1.6" color screen. For longer days, the system accepts Bosch's 250Wh Powermore range extender.
