About this bike

The 3T Strada Italia Red AXS XPLR Bike doesn't fit neatly into any one category, and that's exactly the point. It's a road bike designed around wide tires — optimized specifically for 30–35mm WAM (Width As Measured) rubber — with aerodynamics engineered to work with that tire volume rather than against it. It's fast enough for professional use, comfortable enough for long days in the saddle, and built in Italy using manufacturing technology 3T developed in-house. At $14,399 with SRAM Red AXS XPLR 1x13, a power meter crankset, and Zipp 353 NSW wheels, this is as complete and capable as a road bike gets.

The frame is built around what 3T calls Jazz Carbon — a filament-winding process combined with Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), both performed at their factory in Bergamo, Italy. The result is a carbon construction that delivers exceptional stiffness-to-weight without the variability that comes with outsourced layup. The manufacturing process gives 3T direct control over fiber orientation and resin saturation, which translates to a frame that's reactive when you push and compliant when the road turns rough. The curved cut-out in the lower seat tube is a deliberate flex zone: engineered vertical compliance that absorbs road vibration without bleeding energy from your pedal stroke. Short 408mm chainstays amplify responsiveness, giving the Strada Italia the snap you'd expect from a dedicated race bike.

The aerodynamics are built around real-world conditions, not a wind tunnel ideal. 3T tests at road-relevant speeds with bottles, dirty bikes, and wide tires — because that's what actually matters at 30mph on a group ride or a long solo effort. The Fundi Integrale II fork uses asymmetric Sqaero blade profiles to guide airflow around the front wheel cleanly. The downtube features a narrow neck transitioning to an extra-wide body that shields your bottles from the wind — a detail that matters on long rides. All cables route internally through the Integrale system, keeping the…
