Scott Scale 40

Every detail of the Scale 40's design follows a single guiding principle: form follows function. The lightweight alloy frame maximizes power transfer and climbing efficiency while delivering the agility and precision that define competitive cross-country performance. Scott's meticulous engineering ensures the frame is stiff where it needs to be for powerful pedaling, yet compliant enough to absorb trail chatter and maintain comfort on long, demanding rides. The result is a straightforward, purpose-built machine with a distinctive character—a bike that confidently showcases its capabilities.

The geometry is optimized for aggressive, efficient handling across varied terrain. A powerful yet comfortable riding position enhances climbing efficiency, while the well-balanced head tube angle and wheelbase deliver confident control at speed. The short rear center and low bottom bracket provide superior traction and cornering, making the Scale 40 quick and responsive whether you're attacking technical sections or maintaining momentum on smooth racecourses.

Suspension performance comes from the proven RockShox Reba fork with 100mm of travel, delivering a smooth and responsive ride that keeps you connected to the trail. The SRAM Eagle S100 12-speed drivetrain provides reliable, precise shifting across a broad range, while Alex Rims X25 Disc wheels offer the strength and durability needed for XC racing and ambitious trail adventures.

Whether you're chasing podiums or seeking the pure feeling of ultralight efficiency on singletrack, the Scale 40 delivers modern cross-country performance without compromise.
