The Colnago G5-X SRAM Force XPLR is a carbon gravel bike built for riders whose routes combine quick road sections, unsettled gravel and technical descents. Its monocoque carbon frame and carbon fork form an entirely new platform, rather than an evolution of the G4-X. Revised geometry places the emphasis on handling rough terrain with control, while generous tire clearance opens up options for different riding conditions.

This build uses a SRAM Force XPLR E1 1x13 drivetrain with a 40T chainring and a 10-46T cassette. The single-chainring arrangement keeps shifting decisions straightforward as gradients and surfaces change. Force disc brakes, paired with 160 mm front and rear rotors, provide the braking equipment for the same mixed-terrain brief. The frame uses a BSA 68 mm bottom bracket and a UDH-compatible rear interface.
Vision TC45 Carbon wheels feature 45 mm rim height, 23 mm internal width and tubeless-ready clincher construction. They are fitted with Pirelli Cinturato Gravel RH 700x50 TLR tires. The frame allows up to 53 mm nominal tire width, giving riders scope to select a setup that suits rougher gravel, longer days or a particular event without losing sight of clearance requirements.
Practical carrying features extend the bike's role beyond shorter rides. Internal downtube storage is accessed through a removable plate, while additional mounts on the top tube, downtube and fork support different cargo arrangements alongside the standard bottle positions. The storage bag and repair kit are not included. From a gravel race to a full day exploring unfamiliar tracks, the G5-X Force combines its specific drivetrain and integrated cockpit with the platform's emphasis on adaptable carrying capacity and mixed-surface capability.
