Santa Cruz pushed the boundaries of traditional cross-country bike design by bumping up travel, updating geometry, and spending considerable time tweaking suspension kinematics. The Blur delivers 120mm of travel front and rear up from the previous generation's 110mm with zero weight penalty. This increased travel comes paired with a more progressive leverage curve that reduces pedal bob while adding mid-stroke support, so climbing efficiency and descending confidence both improve simultaneously.
The geometry has been refined for modern trail demands. A 66-degree head angle, 75-degree seat tube angle, and extended reach (475mm on a large) create a longer, more stable ride feel. Geometry scales proportionally across every frame size for consistent handling from Small to Extra Large, ensuring every rider experiences the same responsive, composed character.
Built on Santa Cruz's premium CC carbon layup with a lifetime warranty and no rider weight limit, the Blur features full-length internal cable routing that keeps the front end clean and protected.
