About this bike

The Pinarello Grevil F3 Apex AXS Bike is what happens when a brand built on Tour de France podiums turns its attention to loose gravel, forest roads, and long days away from the tarmac. The geometry is assertive without being aggressive — you sit with enough stack to sustain hours in the saddle, but the front end stays responsive enough that you feel in control when the trail tightens or the surface turns unpredictable. Ride it on a rough fire road and the Pinarello DNA is obvious. It does not meander. It goes where you point it, confidently and quickly.

Pinarello built the Grevil F frame around Toray T700 carbon — a material chosen for its balance of stiffness and compliance. On a road bike, you want every watt transmitted directly to the drivetrain. On gravel, you also want the frame to absorb some of the relentless chatter that builds up over hours of riding on unpaved surfaces. T700 carbon threads that needle well. The downtube profile is shaped to reduce aerodynamic drag, which matters more than it sounds on open, exposed stretches where wind resistance becomes a real factor. The Onda fork — one of Pinarello's most recognizable design signatures — is tuned here specifically for off-road compliance, designed to absorb vertical road input and reduce the fatigue that accumulates in your hands and shoulders over technical terrain. Completing the vibration management picture is the Adaptive seatpost, which offers longitudinal flex to take the edge off rougher surfaces — a thoughtful detail that shows Pinarello was building this bike for sustained efforts, not just impressive numbers on a spec sheet.

The drivetrain is where the Grevil F3 makes a clear statement about where it sits in the market. SRAM Apex AXS brings fully wireless 12-speed electronic shifting to a gravel bike at this level — a meaningful step up from mechanical systems in both reliability and convenience. Cables are removed from the shifting equation entirely, which means mud, grit, and water have…
