About this bike

The Orbea Oiz M10 is designed for elite XC racers and serious competitors ready for takeoff. An uncompromised race machine built to deliver when margins disappear and races are on the line, this bike looks as good as it rides with every detail engineered for speed. Originally launched in 2005 as an XC benchmark, the Oiz continues to evolve as one of the most awarded bikes in its category. This generation represents one of Orbea's most ambitious development projects, with three years of refinement dedicated to improving every aspect of performance and creating one of the most capable race bikes on the market.

The foundation of the new Oiz is targeted stiffness—increasing structural rigidity without compromising weight through advanced carbon construction and refined bonding processes. The redesigned linkage evolved from carbon to forged aluminum with strategically placed internal cutouts, delivering a 30% weight reduction while achieving 14% greater rear triangle stiffness. The Powerspine running along the lower frame optimizes power transfer during explosive efforts, while the winged top tube delivers enhanced structural stiffness. The chainstays and seatstays have been carefully developed to provide maximum torsional stiffness without adding unnecessary weight, improving stability and line precision on technical terrain.

Race-tuned regressive suspension kinematics prioritize support in the initial stroke to improve pedaling efficiency and minimize suspension bob. The 120mm FOX 34 Float SL Factory fork and matching rear shock work together to provide remarkable capability with excellent balance between climbing efficiency and impact absorption. Refined geometry includes a reduced 430mm chainstay for enhanced responsiveness, steeper seat tube for improved power transfer on climbs, and a slightly slackened head angle (66.8°) for extra stability at high speeds. The integrated I-Line technology eliminates cable bends through the top tube for smoother actuation, while the Squidlock system combines dropper and suspension control into two intuitive levers.

At just 1700g (size M with shock), the Oiz achieves exceptional lightness through meticulous material optimization. Even in blind testing, professional riders preferred the final carbon layup over prototypes nearly 50g lighter, confirming that the best-performing frame isn't always the lightest. High-performance OC components including the integrated cockpit, dual bottle cage compatibility across all sizes, integrated multitool, and reinforced fully-sealed bearings ensure bulletproof reliability across race seasons. The threaded bottom bracket reduces noise and simplifies maintenance, while the Spinblock system protects against over-rotation in crashes.

Perfect for racers who demand true race performance backed by World Cup testing, the Oiz M10 combines precision engineering, regressive suspension efficiency, and race-proven reliability for the highest level of XC competition.
