The Kross Lea JR 1.0 D is a kids' bike on 24-inch wheels, built on an aluminium Performance frame with a Zoom Bravo 327E suspension fork and an 8-speed drivetrain. It is finished in celadon and green with a gloss finish.
The aluminium Performance frame is paired with a Zoom Bravo 327E fork giving 40mm of front suspension travel, and steering runs on a 1-1/8" headset. The quoted weight of the complete bike is 11.7 kg.

The drivetrain has 8 gears and no front derailleur. A Wheel Top crankset (32T/140mm) on a BB A-01 bottom bracket drives a Sunrun FW-8I freewheel with a 13-28T range through a KMC Z8.3 chain. Gear changes are made by a Shimano Tourney TX800 rear derailleur, operated by Shimano M315 shifters.
Braking is by V-brakes front and rear with aluminium levers; there are no disc rotors. The wheels run aluminium hubs and aluminium rims with Wanda P1255 tyres in 24 × 1.95.
The cockpit is an aluminium 580/31.8 handlebar in an aluminium 50mm stem, with Kross grips. A Kross saddle sits on a steel 27.2 × 300mm seatpost, and the bike comes with plastic composite pedals. When handing it over, set the saddle height and brake-lever reach to suit the young rider and check that both V-brakes are adjusted correctly.
