The R5 is Cervélo's climbing frame — their lightest road platform, built for stiffness-to-weight rather than aerodynamics. It is a bike for riders whose rides are defined by elevation gain, and it feels noticeably eager the moment you stand up on a gradient.

This build pairs it with SRAM Force AXS: fully wireless electronic shifting with the same ergonomics and gear range as RED, at a meaningfully lower price. Realistically the difference between Force and RED is a few hundred grams and some finish detail — the shifting behaves the same. It is the value pick in the R5 range. Finished in Five Black with bronze detail, satin coat, on Cervélo's all-carbon tapered R5 fork.
