In 2019, Áspero heralded a new era of speed in gravel. Fun, but flat out. The new Áspero stays true to that brief with a threaded bottom bracket, neater cable routing, a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger and better aerodynamics. Dropped seat stays add compliance, front-end stiffness is tuned for the last hours of a long race, and there's more mud clearance. It feels like the original Áspero, but faster, more comfortable and more versatile.

Threaded Bottom Bracket
Áspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket pioneered on R5-CX: simple and rider-serviceable, with the benefits of BBright.
Universal Derailleur Hanger
Sram's UDH standard means Transmission drivetrains bolt straight on, and keeps you compatible with future drivetrains.
Internal Cable Routing
Áspero shares bearing dimensions with R5, Soloist, R5-CX and Caledonia, so any combination of bearing caps and stems works.
