1954 B.F. Goodrich Fleet Star — Original Paint, Freshly Serviced, Rides Now
Here is something most people do not know: B.F. Goodrich — the tire company — sold bicycles through its tire stores for decades. You did not buy a Fleet Star at a bike shop; you bought it where your father bought his tires. That retail quirk is exactly why these turn up far less often than Schwinns and Huffys, and why collectors of American badge-brand bicycles seek them out.

This 1964 Fleet Star has the details that matter: the original Fleet Star chain guard and the original B.F. Goodrich head badge are both present. The badge is the whole identity of a store-branded bicycle — without it, it is just an anonymous old cruiser. It also wears its original blue and white paint throughout.
Money Has Been Spent Where It Counts
This is not a barn find that needs everything. It has been mechanically sorted and it is ready to ride:

- New 26" whitewall tires installed — correct period look, and fresh rubber
- Coaster brake works properly
- Wheels spin true
- Rides well and pedals smoothly

Be Clear About the Cosmetics
The paint is original, and it looks its age. There are numerous paint chips and scratches, areas of surface rust and paint loss on the rear rack, and the rear rack has noticeable paint wear. The chrome shows age with light oxidation, the decals show wear, and the seat has small cracks though it remains usable.
None of that is hidden — it is all in the photos, and it is why this is priced as an honest original rather than a restored show bike. If you want a survivor with real character that you can actually ride, that is precisely what this is. If you want flawless paint, this is not your bike.
